Since TST was founded over 35 years ago.
It has made significant contributions to the Japan's maritime community, as well as to that of the world.
Owning ships
TST is a SHIP OWNER at long last.
The year 2006 was the year that 35 year-long aspiration has become reality.
Hereafter, more ships are expected to join TST to meet increasing need of tonnage for global ocean trade. All of them shall of course be maintained on the well reputed TST technical standard.
Manning ships
Presently, over 1,200 seamen of various nationalities are on TST payroll working aboard nearly 60 ships under its management. There are about 400 seamen ashore on paid leave with adding ever growing number of seafarers of all rank and files seeking stable employment by TST.
With today's rapid rate of expansion of shipping worldwide, demands for qualified seamen to man those ships sharply on the rise; making it tight in supplying good seamen.
However, with our contingency scheme and close coordinating with all of our Manning Agencies overseas, TST is coping up such trends without causing any inconvenience to the clients.
Ship Management and Supervision of ship-building
Being accredited by the ISM Code (International Safety Management Code) an affiliation to the IMO (International Maritime Organization) for the safe operation of ships and for pollution prevention, “Document of Compliance” (DOC) was issued by Class NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai) to TST in 1997, a year prior its full implementation. With this, we are recognized as eligible for unrestricted undertaking services of Management of ships registered in Panama and Hong Kong.
Based on Technical expertise and experiences of TST Superintendents, we are providing Management in an organized and schemed manner including full attendance at ships' dry docking.
TST Manning Facility in the Philippines, the SPLASH PHILIPPINES, INC.
Philippines is known to have been the major source of seafarers world wide.In order to secure uninterrupted supply of best qualified ones, TST founded a Local Manning Agency, SPLASH PHILIPPINES, Inc. that screens, indoctrinates, trains new recruits.
Its unique program of taking selected fresh graduates from training facilities to give shipboard experience has been the foundation of good seamen so loyal that TST can boast.
With today's frequent enactment of new rules and regulations covering seafarers, continuing pre-placement training has become essential to such services. There works best is the TST practice.
